Biography
Angeli’ is a Manila-based artist whose work translates emotional states into surreal, dream-like landscapes. Using soft, candy-colored palettes, she creates spaces where vulnerability, memory, and self-awareness are allowed to surface without disguise.
Trained in multimedia arts at De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Angeli’ began her creative practice in graphic design, working within systems, briefs, and visual constraints. That foundation continues to inform her work today.
What has shifted is not her relationship to making, but her attention.
The focus has moved inward.
“I think I needed to get lost in the world before I could return to myself.”
Her paintings begin with feeling rather than narrative. Each piece emerges from staying with an emotion long enough for it to take form. She refers to this approach as a soft response: choosing openness instead of resistance, attention instead of distance. Figures drift, spaces dissolve, and environments feel suspended, not as fantasy, but as reflection.
Working across acrylic, digital, and functional art, Angeli’ treats each work as a site of encounter. The images do not offer conclusions. They offer presence. Fragility and strength are not opposites here, but conditions that exist together.
